WWW Wednesdays #23 – December 16th

WWW Wednesdays

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly bookish meme formally hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm, and revived by Sam of Taking on a World of Words. This meme consists of answering the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

At this exact moment, nothing…again. I keep finishing my books on Tuesday night, so I end up not having anything to put here on Wednesdays…^^;

What did I recently finish reading?

18273946I finished up the thirteenth novel in the Kitty Norville series last night,  Low Midnight, by Carrie Vaughn. As I mentioned last week, I was looking forward to this book because it was in the POV of Kitty’s friend, Cormac Bennet, a former monster hunter. Cormac is one of my favorite characters so I really did enjoy this one. But, me being me, I wished for a bit more humor, although I really shouldn’t have expected all that much since Cormac is more the ‘strong and silent’ type. Either way, it was still a great installment!

What do I think I’ll read next?

6511018273949So…I still plan on reading the twelfth book in the A Series of Unfortunate Events series,The Penultimate Peril, by Lemony Snicket. By next Wednesday I will hopefully have that book in my ‘currently reading’ section. I wouldn’t blame you if you don’t believe me…but I’m really going to try. And then there’s the fourteenth and final book book in the Kitty Norville series, Kitty Saves the World, by Carrie Vaughn. I’m almost done guys! I’ve been plugging away at this series since September and I’m finally going to be finishing it up next week. I have to say I’m going to miss the characters, but as long as it wraps up nicely I’m okay with it ending. Series can’t go on forever. They can try, but it’s usually best if they don’t. Too much of a good thing and all that.

Happy reading! :)
