50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 13

How many books have you read this year??

So far I have read a whopping 53 books this year! Which is good, for me. And I’m definitely planning on reading more. It’s only the end of September, people! Three more months of reading in the year 2017 to go!

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 12

How many books have you read this month??

I have read three books this month. I’m in the middle of one right now, but I probably won’t be able to finish it by the end of the month, which is Saturday. It’s been a bit of a slow month for me. Depending on my mood, I usually read more than this. In the past couple of months I’ve read at least twice this many. I was in a small reading slump earlier this month, so that’s probably the reason.

Do you post reviews??

Pffft, yeah I post reviews. It’s just…been awhile….^^; Okay, that’s kind of a lie. I posted one back in July on Flame in the Mist. But before then, yeah well, it was over a year since I had posted one. I really should get in the habit of posting more reviews, but I talk quite a bit about the books I’m reading in my TT and WWW posts, so sometimes I feel like it’s rather redundant to make a review. It’s also hard for me to post my feelings into words, sometimes. A book can just really wow me and I can’t explain it well. I even feel like I’m repeating myself from previous reviews. I guess I’ve just been in a big review slump. Still, despite my excuses, I should really suck it up and try to post at least one every couple of months.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 10

What would you like to change/see more of in the community??

I really don’t think I would want to change anything. In my post yesterday I pretty much said how great I thought the book community here on WordPress was. I’m personally not as active as I would like to be but that’s how I’ve always been. I keep meaning to do more book tags and reviews and such…but I’m a big procrastinator and it also heavily relies on what kind of mood I’m in. Plus, I’m just lazy xD I’m honestly surprised I’ve kept up with my blog as long as I have, despite my large gaps of inactivity….^^;

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 9

How do you find the Booklr community??

Once again, I do not have a Tumblr account. So, I will base this question off of the main platform I do use, which is right here: WordPress. I do use Goodreads a good deal as well but aside from looking up books and seeing what my few reading friends are interested in, I’m not too involved in the overall Goodreads community. I’m not a part of any groups or anything so…yeah. But here on WordPress I find the community generally just fine! I’ve run into some amazingly nice people on this website and I see a lot of positive communication. There are haters everywhere, unfortunately, but for the most part I feel that most of the people expressing themselves on WordPress don’t lash out at others doing the exact same thing. So let’s keep those positive vibes flowing!

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 8

Do you lend your books out to friends??

I will, sure. But, like most people probably do, only if I know the person I’m lending the book to is going to take care of it. Luckily I haven’t had any destroyed, but you never know. However, once again, I don’t have too many friends that read, sadly. To the few that do though I don’t have a problem letting them borrow mine! I want them to READ READ READ. Especially the ones I suggest to them! xD

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 6

Can you ever stop in the middle of a page or do you have to finish the page or chapter first??

It depends on the situation. Normally I would prefer to finish the chapter before I stop reading, but, over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of being able to read at work from time to time. That led me to having to stop in the middle of a page to help out customers, so now it doesn’t bother me as much. At least not while I’m out in public. At home I still like to finish the chapter before I stop reading.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 4

Is there a book that you think needs a bigger fandom??

24468673

Yes! I think the first book in the Tales From Verania series, The Lightening-Struck Heart by T.J. Klune, needs a bigger fandom. It’s fairly new, having come out two years ago, and the second one released earlier this year. This book is amazing. It is M/M, which I know isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but the characters, the plot, the dialogue – it’s purely magical. And so freakin’ hilarious. I don’t know how many times I laughed aloud to the things written in this book! Read the blurb, and if it interests you in the slightest, read the book. DO IT. DO IT NOW.
