50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 40

How do you feel when you find a typo/spelling error in a book??

Generally I don’t care all that much. Mistakes happen. However, if the whole book is riddled with errors left and right, I feel that’s an issue. I think, quite a few people had to read over this book before it was published. How could they not notice?!?! But I personally haven’t read a book like that.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 39

What book has made you cry??

Hmm, sometimes I get a little teary-eyed at certain points in books (I usually get more emotional during TV shows and movies), but I think the last book that actually made me legit bawl was Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. If you’ve read it you probably know what part I’m talking about.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 38

Favorite genre??

My favorite genre is most definitely fantasy. Always has been, probably always will be. I dabble in other genres as well, but usually the books I read have to have some fantasy elements to keep me interested. If I’m reading something that’s not fantasy it’s normally mystery or, more recently, M/M romance.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 37

Is there a book that you think everyone should read??

Umm, how about all the books ever?! Just kidding. Who wants to read things they’re not interested in? No one. Hmm, I think everyone should read… I’m trying really hard not to put Harry Potter (because duh, everyone should read that). How about manga? I know that’s not a specific book, but everyone should try reading manga. There’s manga for everyone! Plus pictures. Who doesn’t love pictures? Go. Give manga a try. If you need a recommendation let me know. I will try to think of something you might like!

Favorite bookmark??

This is my favorite bookmark! Ain’t it cute? The little bone is magnetically held in place, however I rarely ever undo it. I just slip the whole thing over the side so that the dog sits on the cover. I also had a small magnetic one with a wolf on it that I loved, but sadly I think I left it in a library book…^^; So this has been the new favorite for a while now.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 33

How do you organize your shelves??

Usually the more I like the series the higher it is on my shelf. So, at the moment, my top shelf contains the Harry Potter series and the Dresden Files. Then it kind of goes from there. I have a lot of used books that I haven’t read yet, so those are what are mostly filling up space. Sometimes height difference bugs me, but usually a series not being in order bugs me more. Unless it’s paperback vs. hardback. I received a hardback version of Clockwork Prince from a friend, but I own the other two in paperback. So, I have the two in paperback next to each other and then Clockwork Prince at the end, even though it’s the second book in the series. It kind of bugs me, but I’m cheap and don’t want to buy a paperback addition, plus it was a gift, so I got over it pretty quickly.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 32

A little late today, but the day is not over yet! It was my second day at my new job and then I had night classes. Busy busy…

“They edged towards the shaking box that had just been delivered.” Should they open it?? You decide what happens next.

Lyla glanced over at Jimmy, communicating silently with a lifted eyebrow. Jimmy shrugged and reached out to lift the lid off of the still shaking box. When he opened it, three black blurs erupted from the darkness and flew shrieking into the night. Jimmy screamed while Lyla stepped back to get a better look at the small, furry creatures as they quickly disappeared from view. “Ryan did good this year.”

“Bats. Why bats? I hate bats,” Jimmy mumbled to himself as he tossed the lid of the box on the floor.

“That’s exactly why,” Lyla explained simply.

Jimmy huffed in irritation before glaring across the street, eyes narrowing further when he heard  the distant sound of laughter.

It’s Halloween time, so why not bats?! xD I dunno. That’s all I got, folks.

50-Day Bookish Challenge – Day 31

How do you think you would be described if you were in a book??

Ughhh, I strongly dislike describing myself. But here it goes. On the shorter side. Long, wavy brown hair with red and blonde mixed in. Dark brown eyes. Glasses. Freckles. Curvy, not skinny. Multiple earrings on each ear and a hand-sized tattoo on lower leg. Smiles a lot.
