Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. To play along just follow the rules below!
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page (I usually do a bit more than two…)
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I’m doing it, guys. I’M DOING IT. I’m finally reading the third and final book in the Grisha trilogy, Ruin and Rising, by Leigh Bardugo. For those that have read my last several WWW posts, you know this book has been in my “What do you think you’ll read next?” section for…a long time. I don’t know why I didn’t get around to starting it after I finished the second book. My interests just wandered elsewhere. But I finally picked it up at the library again and am going to start it as soon as I finish this post. Well, I might eat some breakfast first…but after that!
【The monster’s name was Izumrud, the great worm, and there were those who claimed he had made the tunnels that ran beneath Ravka. Sick with appetite, he ate up silt and gravel, burrowing deeper and deeper into the earth, searching for something to satisfy his hunger, until he’d gone too far and lost himself in the dark.】
