30 Days of Music: 1, 2, & 3

Hey all! I was tagged by Emily @ Embuhlee liest awhile ago to participate in the 30 Days of Music tag. Normally, I assume people would post one prompt for thirty days, but I’m going to copy Emily and only post ten times, each post containing three separate prompts. If you’ve been following my blog for awhile you wold know that unfortunately I’m just not capable of posting every single day. My excuses are laziness and work. Anyway, here are the first three prompts!

1 – The last song you listened to.

Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold. If you knew me you probably wouldn’t think I listened to this type of music, but I do. These guys, Seether, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin are some of my favorites.

2 – Your favorite song of all.

Ughhh…why would this even be a prompt?! This is like asking what your favorite book of all would be! And we all know that struggle. Hmmm…I like a lot of different artists, songs, and types of music, but I suppose for this prompt I’ll use Dance With the Devil by Breaking Benjamin.

3 – Your favorite love song.

Although I’m not a super lovey-dovey person, there are a lot of love songs out there that I enjoy. For this spot, however, I will choose Over and Over by Three Days Grace.

And that’s my first post for this tag! Whoever is interested feel free to participate! Like Emily did, I’ll put the whole list of prompts at the end of this post.

One Lovely Blog Award

one-lovely-blog-award

A huge thanks to Aetheristrux @ The Amazing Life of a Bookworm and Lyn @ Just Something About LynLyn for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog Award! They did so awhile ago and, as usual, it’s taken me some time to finally getting around to making a post. Please give their own lovely blogs a look! :)

Rules:

  • You must thank person who nominated you and include a link to their blog
  • You must list the rules and display the award
  • You must add 7 facts about yourself
  • You must nominate 15 other bloggers

7 Facts About Me:

  1. I started drinking coffee about two years ago. Before that I thought it was the most disgusting thing ever. True, I put tons of crap in mine (I would never drink it black), but it still counts as coffee. I don’t drink it everyday, but iced coffee is now one of my favorite drinks. Even in the winter.
  2. I was a nail biter. I stopped about a year and a half ago. One summer I slapped on some fake nails and for the most part it worked. However, if I don’t keep them painted I do find myself wanting to gnaw on them still…^^; So I usually keep them painted.
  3. If there was one type of food that I could eat for the rest of my life it would be Asian food. Not necessarily a specific type of Asian food, though.
  4. My favorite game console is the GameCube.
  5. I love saving money. I think I’m fairly good about not buying things that I don’t need. My friends aren’t the best influences  – at least when it comes to buying comics xD – but otherwise I usually know when to draw the line. What can I say? I may be on the cheap side, but I like having money in the bank.
  6. In one of the my other award posts, I had put as a fact that I had never seen Star Wars. Well, since then I have seen the fourth and fifth movie. I’m planning on watching the rest in the near future.
  7. I’m sure a ton of people feel the same way, but I wish I could get paid to just read whatever books I want to read as well as binge watch TV shows and anime. That would be the life right there.

My Nominees:

And that’s about it. There’s more I would like to nominate, but a good chunk of people have already been nominated so…yeah. As usual, to anyone who is reading this, if you haven’t been nominated before and would like to participate I nominate you! So go make a post! Right now! GO!

Reading Challenge and a Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I just wanted to do a quick post before I have to go to work that covers the subject of my reading challenge last year and and my upcoming one. So, last year I set my Goodreads 2015 Reading Challenge to 70 books. Guess what? I made it! Exactly 70 books. Whoo! The year before I had set it to 100, but only happened to read 69. I was more upset about not making it to 70 than 100, so I figured 70 was a good number. But this year I’m dropping it down to 60, just because I am really hoping to return to school in the fall. I’ve been saying that for the past two and a half years…but I mean it this time! So wish me luck! I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year and I am looking forward to all the future blog posts to be read! I’m also hoping to be a bit more active with my posts this year…so we’ll see how that goes… xD
