TBR Book Tag

Another book tag! As usual, I was tagged by the amazing Emily @ Embuhlee liest. Woman, you tag me in so many things! I am super glad, but at the same time my procrastination is not, haha. Keep tagging me anyway, because I know me being a baby about it won’t stop you. xD

How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

Mainly through Goodreads, but I also keep a book list in a notebook. It’s really long but I love writing it down instead of just using the app. Plus, I started it a long time ago so, me being me, I just couldn’t stop adding to it. What can I say? I’m old school.

Is your TBR mostly print or e-book?

Mostly print. However, since I received my NOOK I’ve been more open to e-books. And my library only has certain books on my TBR list in e-book form so I don’t really have a choice.

How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

I’m definitely a mood reader. Whatever I feel like reading, I read. However, for those of you who have been following me for awhile, you’ll know that I’ve been mainly focusing on completed series. I also need to start focusing on books I actually own…^^;

A book that’s been on your TBR the longest?

6068551767326Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater has been in my Goodreads ‘to-read’ section the longest, but as for my book list I have written in a notebook, it would be The Seventh Tower series by Garth Nix. The Keys to the Kingdom series by the same author is above that, as well as a few other series – some of which I have completed – but I’ve read a few of the books in those series already so I wasn’t sure if that counted or not.

A book you recently added to your TBR?

24934065One of the most recent books I’ve added to my TBR list on Goodreads is Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton. I was reading a post from one of the blogs I follow about what they recently added to their TBR list and this book was one of them. I read the summary and it sounded like something I would definitely be interested in reading so I added it. However, it will probably be awhile until I actually get around to reading it…^^;

A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover?

20983362

I thought this one was really neat looking.

A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading?

I’m going to have to agree with Emily on this one. Why would you have a book on your TBR list that you never plan on reading? Sure, it may take you awhile to get to the hundreds of books that you have listed there, but the point of having them on there is because you’re interested in reading them!

An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for?

Peace Talks by Jim Butcher, the sixteenth book in the Dresden Files series. Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait.

A book on your TBR that everyone has read but you?

16096824
A Court of Thorns and Roses
by Sarah J. Maas. When this book came out I saw sooooo many reviews on it. I really want to read it, but as I’m doing my best to stick to completed series at the moment, I must wait.

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you?

Ummm, I’m not quite sure. Not many people have actually recommended specific books to me so I can’t think of one at the moment. I usually just see what other people are reading and if it sounds interesting I add it.

A book on your TBR that you’re dying to read?

There are actually a lot of books that are on my list that I want to read…like now. But, as I mentioned above, I’m only reading completed series so I can’t read a lot of the stuff I have added. It’s sad, but I have such a terrible memory that I would have to reread each book in a series every time a new one comes out otherwise I won’t remember anything.

How many books are in your Goodreads TBR shelf?

As of right now, 259. However, that’s not including a lot of the books on my written book list, because for most of the series I want to read I just have to first book actually in my shelf, due to the fact that if I don’t end of liking the series I won’t have to go through the trouble of deleting every book from my shelf.

And there we go! Thanks again for tagging me, Emmy. This was another fun one! :D
